Dua e istikhara
“Dua e Istikhara” is a prayer in Islam that is performed when someone is facing a decision or dilemma and wishes to seek guidance from Allah in choosing the right path. The word “Istikhara” itself means seeking goodness or seeking guidance to make the right decision.
In this prayer, a person asks Allah for His knowledge and guidance, acknowledging their own limitations and lack of knowledge. The prayer asks Allah to show the person what is best for them in their religion, livelihood, and the outcome of their affairs. It also asks Allah to make the decision easy if it is good for them and to turn it away if it is not.
After performing this prayer, it is believed that one should trust in Allah’s wisdom and make a decision based on their best judgment. If the decision is good for them, it will be facilitated, and if it is not, Allah will guide them away from it.
دعاء استخارہ:
اللَّھُمَّ إِنِّی أَسْتَخِیرُکَ بِعِلْمِکَ وَأَسْتَقْدِرُکَ بِقُدْرَتِکَ وَأَسْأَلُکَ مِنْ فَضْلِکَ الْعَظِیمِ، فَإِنَّکَ تَقْدِرُ وَلَا أَقْدِرُ وَتَعْلَمُ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتَ عَلَامُ الْغُیُوبِ۔ اللَّھُمَّ إِنْ کُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ ھَذَا الْأَمْرَ خَیْرٌ لِی فِی دِینِی وَمَعَاشِی وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي أَوْ قَالَ فِي عَاجِلِ أَمْرِي وَآجِلِہِ۔ فَاقْدُرْهُ لِی وَیَسِّرْهُ لِی ثُمَّ بَارِکْ لِی فِیہِ، وَإِنْ کُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ ھَذَا الْأَمْرَ شَرٌّ لِی فِی دِینِی وَمَعَاشِی وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي أَوْ قَالَ فِي عَاجِلِ أَمْرِي وَآجِلِہِ۔ فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّی وَاصْرِفْنِی عَنْہُ، وَاقْدُرْ لِیَ الْخَیْرَ حَیْثُ کَانَ ثُمَّ ارْضِنِی۔
دعاء استخارہ:
اللَّھُمَّ مَیں تیری علم کی بندگی کرتا ہوں اور تیری قدرت کے مطابق فیصلہ کرنے کی صلاحیت مانگتا ہوں اور تیری بڑی نعمت کی تلاش کرتا ہوں، تو ہر چیز پر قادر ہے اور میں ناقدر ہوں اور تو ہر چیز کو جانتا ہے اور میں نہیں جانتا اور تو ہر چیز کے غیب جاننے والا ہے۔ اللَّھُمَّ اگر تو جانتا ہے کہ یہ کام میرے لیے دین میں بھلا ہے، میری دنیا میں بھلا ہے اور میرے امور کے آخرت میں بھلا ہے، یا پھر اس کا تعبیر ہے کہ میرے کام کی تکمیل کے لیے بھلا ہے یا فوراً یا ان کے بعد، تو میرے لیے اس کو مقدر کر دے، مجھے اس پر آسانی دے اور پھر اس میں برکت دے۔ اور اگر تو جانتا ہے کہ یہ کام میرے لیے دین میں بُرا ہے، میری دنیا میں بُرا ہے اور میرے امور کے آخرت میں بُرا ہے، یا پھر اس کا تعبیر ہے کہ میرے کام کی تکمیل کے لیے بُرا ہے یا فوراً یا ان کے بعد، تو مجھ سے اس کو دور کر دے اور مجھے اس سے دور کر دے، اور میرے لیے اچھائی کو جہاں تک ممکن ہے وہاں قدر کر اور پھر مجھے خوش کر دے۔
Dua-e-Istikhara (Prayer for Guidance):
“O Allah, I seek Your guidance [in making a choice] by virtue of Your knowledge, and I seek ability by virtue of Your power, and I ask You of Your great bounty. You have power, I have none. And You know, I know not. You are the Knower of hidden things. O Allah, if in Your knowledge, this matter is good for my religion, my livelihood, and my affairs, immediate and in the future, then ordain it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if in Your knowledge, this matter is bad for my religion, my livelihood, and my affairs, immediate and in the future, then turn it away from me, and turn me away from it. And ordain for me the good wherever it may be, and make me pleased with it.”
दुआ-ए-इस्तिखारा (मार्गदर्शन के लिए प्रार्थना):
“हे अल्लाह, मैं आपके ज्ञान के आधार पर [विकल्प बनाने में] आपका मार्गदर्शन चाहता हूं, और मैं आपकी शक्ति के आधार पर क्षमता चाहता हूं, और मैं आपसे आपकी महान कृपा मांगता हूं। आपके पास शक्ति है, मेरे पास कोई नहीं है। और आप जानते हैं , मैं नहीं जानता। आप छुपी हुई बातों को जानने वाले हैं। हे अल्लाह, यदि आपके ज्ञान में, यह मामला मेरे धर्म, मेरी आजीविका और मेरे मामलों के लिए तत्काल और भविष्य में अच्छा है, तो इसे मेरे लिए नियुक्त करें, इसे बनाएं मेरे लिए आसान है, और इसे मेरे लिए आशीर्वाद दें। और यदि आपकी जानकारी में, यह मामला मेरे धर्म, मेरी आजीविका और मेरे मामलों के लिए तत्काल और भविष्य में बुरा है, तो इसे मुझसे दूर कर दें, और मुझे इससे दूर कर दें। और जहां कहीं भी हो, मेरे लिये भलाई की व्यवस्था करो, और उस से मुझे प्रसन्न करो।
